What is this newsletter?

I dedicated a whole post to it here. But in essence it’s a weekly newsletter created for restaurant workers to inspire them to be better in their role and to encourage them to view this industry as exciting, long-lasting, and meaningful. 

About me

I’m from Ohio but moved to NY after college to work at an advertising agency. I soon realized how unhappy I was in that industry and decided to follow my passion for food. This decision took me to a weekend prep cook, to full-time prep cook, to line cook.

I then transitioned to FOH. If I wanted to open my own place, it’d be good to understand both sides of the business. Pretty quickly I was more natural while facing guests than dicing garlic and decided to stay on my FOH trek. 

I recently left my position as a manager at one of the premier dining restaurants in the world. Now I am working on side projects that focus on addressing problems within the restaurant industry.
